Job Description

Were seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join Amazon Robotics and Tech Deployment Systems Integration team focusing on developing sophisticated cloudnative software solutions for commissioning and testing our robotic systems. Youll be part of a team that ensures the commissioning and deployment processes of our robotics solutions through advanced software development cloud architecture testing and deployment processes including both AWSbased backend systems and user interfaces for testing tools.

Key job responsibilities
As a Systems Development Engineer at Amazon Robotics you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining critical cloudbased software solutions for our robotics commissioning and testing infrastructure. Your primary focus will be designing and implementing robust scalable applications that power our robotics testing tools leveraging AWS services for maximum efficiency and reliability. You will be responsible for developing sophisticated automated testing frameworks cloudnative continuous integration pipelines and intuitive user interfaces that ensure the reliability and usability of our robotic systems.

In this role youll implement efficient cloudbased solutions for realtime robotics control and data processing working at the intersection of software and hardware to create seamless interfaces between various system components. A significant part of your role will involve developing AWSpowered tools for data analysis visualization and performance monitoring enabling our teams to optimize robotic system performance and identify potential improvements. Youll create userfriendly interfaces that allow operators to effectively monitor and control testing procedures while ensuring secure and efficient cloud integration.

Collaboration will be key as you work with crossfunctional teams to integrate software components into larger robotics ecosystems. Youll participate in code reviews contribute to cloud architecture discussions and continuously optimize existing software for improved performance reliability and scalability. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our robotics deployment processes making you a crucial part of Amazons automation innovation efforts.

A day in the life
As a Systems Development Engineer at Amazon Robotics your typical day is dynamic and multifaceted:

Morning: Begin by monitoring system performance participate in team standups develop new features for commissioning dashboards using React and optimize AWS Lambda functions.

Afternoon: Engage in architecture review meetings troubleshoot issues implement automated test scenarios collaborate on UX improvements and participate in code reviews.

Throughout the week: Participate in agile ceremonies liaise with robotics engineers and attend technical learning sessions.

Your role uniquely combines cloud infrastructure expertise with robotics systems knowledge. Youll have a direct impact on Amazons automation efficiency balancing independent work with crossfunctional collaboration. Experience in automating deploying and supporting infrastructure
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python Ruby Golang Java C C# Rust
Experience with Linux/Unix
Are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelors degree
Experience (noninternship) in professional software development
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React Angular or )
Experience with AWS services (including Lambda ECS S3 DynamoDB)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
