Position Summary
Why Its a Great Opportunity:In this role you will be part of a dynamic IT team and provide essential technical support to the Planning and Public Works Department. As part of a dedicated 5member team youll optimize IT services and deliver tier I/II support for software hardware account and security provisioning onpremises and cloudbased services operating systems and peripherals that are crucial to the departments mission. Your role will involve fielding inquiries providing enduser and device support and fulfilling service requests through the IT Service Desk. Youll also offer valuable consultation to departments 862 employees helping them use technology effectively and securely. You will be using independent judgement and taking initiative while working closely alongside other members of an IT User Services team and with our partners throughout Pierce County.

Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for a variety of user system platforms including handheld desktop workstation and laptop hardware associated operating systems and application software.
- Specialize in providing technical support for the department within specific assigned hardware or software tool areas.
- Confer with customer departments regarding technology budgeting computing solutions clientoriented technology project implementation technology inventories relocation services and user application productivity including meeting training needs.
- Provide operational support which may include role on the Incident Response Team that responds onsite to customer problems for tracking management and timely resolution of reported County incidents including major incidents impacting multiple County users.
- Work in a teamworkbased environment communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Additional education or experience which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may substitute on a year for year basis.
- Prior to receiving a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study students in their last term of education may be considered. The recruiting requirements of the position would have to be met prior to employment beginning.
- Bachelors Degree in information technology computer sciences business public administration or related field AND
- Two or more years of information technology experience required.
