Were seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer with Machine Learning background (preferably in ads/recommendation delivery and quality domain) for our team in Sponsored Products to elevate our business to new heights. We are building large scale realtime services and offline data/indexing systems to retrieve or generate ads matching with shoppers across all platforms and surfaces globally. By developing a profound understanding of shoppers and products we help shoppers discover products theyll adore provide an efficient platform for advertisers to reach their customers and enable Amazon to continually innovate for the benefit of all its customers. As a Senior Software Development Engineer you will operate across various technologies within the organization. Your responsibilities will include designing coding troubleshooting and supporting scalable pipelines and online serving systems. Youll also work with implementing endtoend ML solutions and optimizing their performance. Beyond being a passionately motivated individual contributor youll also mentor junior engineers guiding them to realize their full potential.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in ML and MLOps in production

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
