Overview
**This is a TEMPORARY POSITION**
Do you have a passion for supporting youths mental health So do we join our Ventura Crisis Stabalization Unit as a Crisis Clinician!
The Crisis Clinician provides familybased mental health counseling therapy and case management services to children and families. They conduct assessments of needs safety planning and crisis intervention as needed. In addition Crisis Clinicians link the youth to further mental health services if needed such as Wraparound psychotherapy support groups and other community services.
ABOUT VENTURA COUNTY CRISIS SERVICES
Senecas Ventura County Crisis Services programoffers a spectrum of behavioral health care crisis services to support youth and their families. These services provide safe refuge for young people who have experienced profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Services include crisis stabilization and shortterm acute residential treatment as well as transition and planning services to return youth to a setting in the community with stability.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical lead and work with the treatment team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed.
- Provide counseling therapy and case management services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to other communitybased resources.
- Participate in all treatment reviews program staff meetings and additional meetings when necessary.
- Coordinate with necessary collateral contacts including caregivers and family members as needed.
- Work with treatment team to determine course of action for followup services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
- Participate in oncall system as needed.
- Complete progress notes and other paperwork and complete service tracking documentation as indicated.
- Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings weekends and provide oncall coverage as needed.
- Utilize crisis communication and deescalation techniques as per Senecas Equilibrium model training. This may include intervening with the clients behavioral program through physical management of the clients if applicable. Training in additional crisis intervention modalities such as CPI may be required.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in psychology counseling or social work.
- Eligible to register with the BBS.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- At least 21 years of age.
- TB test clearance fingerprinting clearance and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- Valid drivers license clean driving record and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies insurance policy.
- Proof of uptodate COVID19 vaccination or an HRapproved medical/religious exemption.
PREFERRED
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs.

Schedule
- Fulltime:
- ThursdaySaturday: 7pm7:30am.
- Position starts ASAP and is 9 months in duration.
Benefits
- Starting at $68890 to $82890 per year.
- Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
