Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our Adult Services & Health team on a temporary basis.
This role is essential to maintaining statutory service provision and continuity of care following a team member s departure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality adult social care ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting independence and wellbeing for service users.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs including older adults and individuals with physical or learning disabilities.
Conduct strength-based assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014.
Develop and review care and support plans that promote independence and meet assessed needs.
Carry out safeguarding enquiries in accordance with relevant policy and procedures.
Work in partnership with families carers health professionals and external agencies to deliver coordinated care.
Maintain accurate timely records using internal case management systems.
Participate in team meetings case discussions and supervision in accordance with professional standards.
Ensure legal and ethical compliance in all areas of practice including mental capacity deprivation of liberty and best interests decision-making.
Skills/Experience:
Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Adults procedures.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
Excellent communication assessment and report-writing skills.
Proficient in using electronic case management systems.
Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A flexible person-centred and professional approach.
Additional Information:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Full-time role 35 hours per week.
Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding Adults procedures. Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure. Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills. Proficient in using electronic case management systems. Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A flexible, person-centred, and professional approach.
Education
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
