Brandeis University Undergraduate Admissions is accepting applications from experienced and datadriven professionals for the position of Associate Director International Admissions and Global Recruitment. The Associate Director will lead the recruitment and selection strategy of international undergraduate students in a highly selective environment. Brandeis University receives applications from around the globe and has dedicated funding that is awarded to top international students with financial need. This person will also serve as a member of the senior admission team and support the overall of strategic departmental and institutional enrollment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze international markets; develop and implement a strategic recruitment and yield plan for prospective international students.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications to further enhance and execute a marketing strategy for international markets.
Serve as contact for international prospective students and their families. Continue to foster relationships with counselors at overseas schools EducationUSA advisors and other constituencies to help maintain a pipeline of talented international students which comprise nearly 20 percent of the student body at Brandeis.
Work with the Director and Dean of Admissions to establish international application review protocol which includes setting guidelines and training staff on international curricula and grading systems.
Holistically review more than 1000 applications from outside the United States as a primary and secondary reader.
Coordinate international scholarship and financial aid selection.
Conduct virtual events and other outreach efforts to engage and yield international applicants.
Conduct approximately foursix weeks of recruitment travel that includes international and domestic markets each year.
Work closely with other University departments including Office of Student Financial Services and the International Student and Scholars Office to ensure a seamless experience for international students from application to matriculation.
Maintain membership and engagement with organizations related to international students and recruitment such as the International Association for College Admission Counseling and Council of International Schools.
Supervise and mentor one to two staff members working primarily with international admissions.
Perform basic admissions duties including international and domestic recruitment travel interviewing prospective students presenting information sessions and reading and evaluating applications.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required masters degree preferred.
A minimum of 58 years in college/university admissions; 3 years international admissions experience strongly preferred.

Skill and sensitivity to issues of diversity equity and inclusion as they affect the college admissions process; a demonstrated commitment to building a strong applicant pool and a critical awareness of how systemic economic and racial inequity in students secondary school backgrounds impacts their application to college.
International admissions (undergraduate preferred) and international travel experience required.
Strong process management skills; organizational skills; problem solving and decision making.
Ability to strategically utilize and analyze data to make informed recommendations and decisions.
Must be organized an excellent communicator and collaborator with the ability to work with multiple deadlines. Ability to build strong relationships with admissions staff and constituents across campus.
Computer skills proficiency with Microsoft applications required; Slate Technolutions and Workday preferred.
Evening and weekend work are necessary during key periods.
Valid Drivers License and US passport (or ability to obtain one) required.
Second language proficiency preferred.
