Whats the role
Reporting into the Managing Director of Technology Management the Full Stack Java Developer will be responsible for customizing the existing platform and enhancing its functionalities by utilizing API calls from the GL system. The role involves working with both frontend and backend technologies to process manipulate and calculate data before sending it back to the source system.
Additionally the developer will integrate with other systems via APIs to retrieve structured and unstructured data store it in a temporary area and display relevant information or generate reports. The role requires expertise in Java frontend frameworks database management and API integrations to ensure seamless data processing and system interoperability.
The ideal background for this role:
- BackEnd: Proficiency in Java: Strong experience with Java programming language including frameworks like Spring and Spring boot
- FrontEnd Technologies: Solid understanding of HTML CSS JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks like React Angular
- SQL & Database Management: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries stored procedures. Experience with relational databases like SQL server
- Web Services: Experience with RESTful APIs and integration of frontend with backend services.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role can be based in our Southampton Office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business the office space available and the individuals preferences and circumstances.
