Acclarent is an Integra Lifesciences division for Ear Nose and Throat solutions. The Director Product Development Engineering is responsible for providing leadership to the Acclarent US R&D engineering department assuring full compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Drives product development strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact business results. Provides expertise on complex technical issues with indepth subject matter knowledge. Directs the of Feasibility work and New Product Development from concept creation till Full Market Release. Champions effective project management through structured problemsolving strategies and methodologies. Accountable for change management and continuous improvement efforts. Responsible for quarterly budget planning and .

- Oversees directs and manages Acclarent US R&D team through managers senior professionals.
- Accountable for annual budget planning of Acclarent US R&D aligned with the R&D portfolio.
- Oversees and the maintains the process of New Product Development including leading the Project Approval Committee processes to improve the NPD process.
- Responsible for continuously evolving the Acclarent US R&D organization knowledge and skills.
- Drives effective root cause analysis structured problem solving and timely effective corrective and preventive actions as required.
- Accountable for Acclarent US R&D resource deployment planning.
- Provide support to manufacturing processes for business continuity purpose.
- Facilitates cross functional knowledge transfer to ensure smooth transitions from R&D to production.
- Strong collaboration with peer R&D leadership team members GSM Quality and Operations to prevent issues and solve problems.
- Champion employee talent development through active management coaching.
- Applies market trends and key business drivers to introduce new practices approaches and concepts for consideration by senior management
- Evaluates performance on a timely basis and recommends personnel actions such as promotions transfer discharge or disciplinary actions. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees: planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addresses complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required for this position.
- Engineering bachelors degree with 10 years of experience leading a team (direct reports and people managers) or equivalent education and years of management experience
- Engineering masters degree with 8 years of experience leading a team (direct reports and people managers) or equivalent education and years of management experience
- Engineering Doctoral degree with 5 years of experience leading a team (direct reports and people managers) or equivalent education and years of management experience
Candidates must have led teams that released medical devices for the US market to apply for the role.
