Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Structures Engineering is seeking a 1st level manager to lead the Stress Liaison team for the 737 Program. This position reports to the 737 Airframe leadership team and is located in Renton Washington.
The person in this position is responsible for managing a team of structural analysis engineers that work with Liaison Engineering on high complexity/criticality structural repair analyses that enable the production system to meet requirements for safety quality cost and schedule. The teams specific SOW includes:
- Provide structural analysis of factory/field nonconformances to Liaison Engineering
- Work with Liaison Engineering and other stakeholders to improve processes and support factory initiatives
- Communicate risk and status to leadership and other stakeholders
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
- Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
- Manages develops and motivates employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
- Experience leading a team formally or informally.
- 5 years of engineering experience.

- Demonstrated selfstarter; willing to initiate and establish strong collaboration with internal customers
- Creativity & innovative thinking to develop solutions that meet customer & Boeing needs
- Flexibility adaptability and being comfortable with a highly dynamic and exciting work environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers peers and senior management
