Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the nursing home industry and will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and assisting with the monthend close process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements for nursing home facilities.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the monthend close process ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts as needed.
- Prepare schedules for audits and collaborate with auditors during the audit process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant specifically within the nursing home or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and monthend close procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
