Join Airtables Finance & Legal team as a Senior Accountant and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and scalability in our accounting operations. This is a unique opportunity to own key components of our monthly close collaborate cross-functionally and help shape the future of our financial processes as we continue to grow. What youll do
- Drive operational excellence by designing and implementing scalable corporate accounting policies procedures and internal controls
- Own key components of the monthly close including capitalized software leases accruals and allocations
- Deliver clean and accurate schedules for assigned month-end close areas ensuring 100% on-time and accurate delivery
- Support the financial audit process and ensure no significant audit findings or control deficiencies in areas owned
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A Legal Engineering and other teams to align accounting treatment with business initiatives
- Improve monthly close timelines and reduce post-close adjustments by implementing process efficiencies and automation opportunities
- Maintain complete and current process documentation for all assigned areas
Who you are
- 2 years of Big 4 audit experience ideally focused on technology clients
- 1-2 years of industry experience at a software company
- Strong understanding of US GAAP internal controls and operational accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly
- High ownership mindset with collaborative energy and a positive attitude
- Experience working in a public company environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite Workday Oracle)
- System implementation experience

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location relevant skills and experience.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area Seattle New York City and Los Angeles the base salary range for this role is:
$121300 - $149400 USD
