Job Description

Location: Armatus Dealer Uplift LLC in Hunt Valley MD

Job Type: Full-time in-office position.

Job Summary: Currently seeking an energetic detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The right candidate reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records performing account reconciliations and assisting with closing processes. They will ensure compliance with established accounting policies while striving for quality results and organizational growth. Must be customer service minded and provide support to various department members clients and vendors.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

  • Prepare various journal entries to include accruals & prepayments maintain supporting account schedules.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • General Ledger maintenance.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process high volume customer billings post daily cash receipts review AR aging reports and contact customers on past due accounts.
  • Maintain accurate database information and assist with customer correspondence.
  • Accounts Payable entry check & ACH batch processing. Document archiving.
  • 1099 processing and current W-9 maintenance.

Banking/Treasury:

  • Utilize bank portals to process positive pay exceptions ACH & Fed wire transactions.
  • Lockbox deposit file processing.

Financial & Budget Reporting:

  • Assist with the preparation of balance sheets income and cash flow statements and other custom reports.
  • Perform account analysis and provide variance insight.
  • Prepare audit schedules and work with external CPA firm as needed.

Account Reconciliation:

  • Perform bank and credit card statement reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency with financial records.
  • Identify discrepancies and review with Controller to promptly resolve.

Process Improvement:

  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement within accounting functions and assist in the implementation of new procedures.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed to support departmental goals.

Other Duties:

  • Travel Expense reconciliation and reimbursement.
  • Commission and Referral Fee reporting.
  • Contract maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
  • Multi-task and meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
