- POSITION SUMMARY
- The Apothecary Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in preparing prescription medications through front end and back end operational support ranging from data entry filling processing and billing of medications. Ability to work with cancer center team to ensure excellent and compassionate care to all patients and customers is required.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience- N/A
Required Registration/License/Certification- Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration.
- If licensed after January 1 2020 must obtain Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or complete an ALBOP approved technician training program within 6 months of licensure.
Preferred Education- N/A
Preferred Experience- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience with ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations (e.g. PTCB ExCPT etc..
- Valid Drivers License
