At Sandvik Group IT were currently looking for a Solution Engineer to our Core Application and Platform Operations. Welcome to a dynamic and developing environment where collaboration is the key!
About your job
As our Solution Engineer you play a key role in transforming business requirements into IT solutions offering technical guidance to the product team to ensure alignment with goals and strategies. You focus on maintaining IT service continuity by managing incidents changes and problem resolution using the ITIL framework. You also ensure the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for troubleshooting and system maintenance. To protect infrastructure and applications you implement security best practices ensuring compliance with industry standards and applying system hardening techniques.
You excel in collaborative work environments fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and leading complex technical implementation within your area of expertise. Your team acts as a bridge between infrastructure and applications providing expert services and innovative solutions to ensure seamless integration innovation and operational excellence.
The location for this position is Sandviken or Stockholm and we offer you a hybrid work solution. As your team and stakeholders are located on both sites some travel between them might be required.
About you
Were looking for someone with a strong knowledge of Windows Server for system management troubleshooting and maintenance. You have handson experience with IIS for hosting and configuring web applications as well as of middleware technologies for managing Javabased applications. Proficiency in MS SQL for database management queries backup and performance tuning is a must. To be successful in this role you need knowledge in CI/CD pipelines version control and deployment automation and the ability to automate tasks perform bulk configurations and troubleshoot using scripts in PowerShell Scripting. Experience with cloud platforms and an SSL certificate is a plus. Being part of a truly global environment we look for proficiency in English verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
Youre an excellent communicator and collaborator who easily build strong relationships with the people you encounter. Having attention to detail and a problemsolving mindset you ensure accuracy in configurations updates and documentation. Youre curious and flexible with an understanding of customer needs enabling you to apply expertise to create meaningful outcomes.
