Job Description:
Responsible for leading an HDL team consisting of union mechanics to complete aircraft modification projects.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for monitoring budgets organizing daily tasks to meet milestones understanding IMS schedule and driving the overall performance on aircraft modification projects.
- Establishing and tracking daytoday production requirements that includes budget safety quality and performance. Team will consist of between eight to twelve hourly mechanics.
- Ability to interpret Government FAA and Company Aviation Safety regulations.
- Ability to readinterpret mechanical drawings electrical schematics and general aviation knowledge.
- Working knowledge of military commercial or general aviation aircraft.
- Ability to perform analytical analysis and apply risk mitigation techniques.
- Experience in conflict resolution team building and coaching skills
- Willingness and ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours or overtime to meet company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant handson aircraft maintenance experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Current FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with general aviation military aircraft or manufacturing.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Boeing Wide/Narrow body Gulfstream platform experience
- VIP or comms upgrade experience
- Lean or SixSigma Training
