Bookkeeper

PsychPhys is seeking an experienced and qualified parttime 2 days per week) Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Melbourne Victoria.

The Role:

The Bookkeeper role holds responsibility for actioning all accounts Payable duties including maintaining accurate financial records completing BAS and GST Refunds supporting Payroll in the payment of Payroll Tax and Superannuation as well as working closely with the companys accountant to ensure compliance in the overall accounting functions of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Process accounts payable invoices in a timely manner to ensure payments are made on time
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Liaise with Customer Service Team around accounts receivables to ensure receivables align with payables
• Collaborate with the wider business to provide financial information and advice on accounts payable matters

Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper preferably in a small to mediumsized business
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and software Xero
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Bookkeeping or equivalent experience
• A satisfactory Police Criminal Check dated within 6 months of commencement.
• A valid Employee Working with Childrens Check.
• A current Drivers License
• Access to a vehicle for travel.
• Full COVID19 Vaccination
