Job Description

Lotus Commercial is a commercial kitchen service business with 30 years of experience servicing the hospitality industry and corporate businesses. Services include kitchen filter exchange canopy exhaust cleaning air conditioning filter maintenance and various sanitization services.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detailoriented Payroll Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. The Payroll Officer will work closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and processing of complex highvolume payrolls.
  • Check all documentation for employee hours and leave to ensure it is authorised and complete before processing.
  • Import and input all timesheet information leave requests and allowances accurately and promptly.
  • Update and maintain payroll records ensuring timely recording of new employees and changes.
  • Administer calculate pay and reconcile all superannuation contributions.
  • Interpret awards agreements and contracts ensuring all changes are inputted into the payroll system.
  • Calculate pay and reconcile PAYG
  • Calculate annual leave sick leave and LSL provisions/accruals.
  • Calculate and process termination and redundancy payments.
  • Process increases and calculate back pays.
  • Calculate workers compensation
  • Ensure employee records are kept confidential at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate employee data
  • Assist with yearend payroll activities
  • Stay uptodate with changes in payroll laws and regulations

About You:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with processing payroll with shift penalties preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll software (Employment Hero desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel

Work schedule:

  • 22.8 hours / week
