Responsibilities
What youll be able to do:
Staff Exterior Systems Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Irvine CA). Design prototype validate and release exterior components and systems. Work closely with studio designers to develop new exterior design concepts. Collaborate with other vehicle engineering teams and crossfunctional teams on technical feasibility and cost tradeoff studies. Explore creative ideas covering underhood storage solutions front and rear end exterior trim exterior sensor integrations. On board suppliers ensure component and system delivery from concept phase all the way to production launch.
Qualifications
Youll have...
- A masters or foreign equivalent degree in engineering computer science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience utilizing CAD tools.
- 5 years of experience performing exterior systems design development and release for exterior systems including exterior trims underhood systems and storage.
- 3 years of experience working on production vehicle development and launch.
- 1 year of experience integrating exterior sensors including ADAS sensors and features.
- Position reports to Irvine CA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
- Experience may be but need not be acquired concurrently.
We are offering a salary of $187110 to $260000 per year.
