To assist the Director in management of WINGS Housing Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the Coordinated Entry Program or All Chicago Program and additional programs as directed.
Supervise Housing Family Advocates as directed.
Responsible for submitting WINGS housing vacancies to CE ensuring intakes are completed matching clients assign to the appropriate staff and coordinating moveins with the Tenant Relations Manager.
Oversee housing interns including participation in the interview process training daytoday tasks and supervision and assisting with completing evaluations.
Act as the primary liaison for client conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
Perform duties typically performed by the manager in their absence including ensuring all staff and interns and volunteers are supported and have the resources to do their jobs and facilitating regular department meetings.
Assist in training housing staff.
As assigned attend meetings and act as a liaison on behalf of the organization.
Carry a client case load that consists of developing a service plan assisting in application for mainstream benefits providing referrals and resources and conducting case management activities such as: crisis intervention conflict management budgeting parenting and life skills.
Assists clients in locating sustainable longterm housing and provide followup services as needed.
Collaborates with outside agencies in their work on clients service plans and attend community resource meetings as needed.
Provides services in accordance with the ICDVP code of ethics. Respond to security concerns appropriately documenting observations and actions taken.
Identify repairs and/or household needs coordinating with Tenant Relations Manager or others to ensure needs are met.
Supervises and coordinate activities related to daily living skills and client enrichment activities.
Immediately report child abuse to Department of Children and Family Services as mandated by
law and in accordance with agency procedures.
Teach and/or assist in supervising the WINGS 40hour domestic violence training and other classes that provide CEUs as required.
Maintain accurate records including uptodate client files and case notes and submit reports and program evaluations within established timelines and prepare reports as assigned.
Prepare additional responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelors degree in social service counseling or closely related field or equivalent experience required.
2 years of supervisory experience and experience working with clients with domestic violence homelessness mental health issues and/or substance abuse preferred.
40hour domestic violence training and CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
ICDVP Certification preferred.
Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
Strong working knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite along with excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
Possess the ability to work efficiently and independently and be highly organized with attention to detail along with strong project management interpersonal and problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
Skilled in working with sensitive issues and in maintaining professional boundaries with clients.
Must demonstrate professionalism flexibility good judgment and commitment to teamwork.
Must have access to transportation.
Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities including but not limited to lifting up to 35 pounds using both hands/arms on a regular basis and climbing stairs.
