The Position
Lift is seeking 2 Homelessness Outreach Workers to provide support and assistance to people experiencing homelessness across qathet. Working from a harm reduction perspective Homelessness Outreach Workers assist people who are experiencing homelessness by ensuring safer substance use strategies food sanitation and social supports are in place. Many of these community members cope with mental health issues and/or substance use issues and may or may not be accessing social supports. Homelessness Outreach Workers will work in conjunction with the Lift team VCH outreach teams and/or community colleagues to engage vulnerable individuals and assist them in accessing health housing social services and shelter as available.
