The role
Were looking for a Lawyer to join our Tax practice in Sydney. Were a diverse group and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic hardworking and fun.
This would be working closely with Mark Payne and Seema Sandhu in our national practice.
Mark has significant experience guiding both domestic and multinational clients through the intricate landscape of taxation. Recognised for his advanced proficiency in premium domestic and inbound investments M&A and property transactions Mark has earned the trust and respect of the business community.
Mark has a deep understanding of crossborder corporate transactions complex financing structures structuring M&A acquisitions and tax due diligence. Beyond this Mark is an authority in establishing managed funds notably MITs and VCLPs and provides expert advice on GST duty and propertyrelated taxes which are essential considerations in property development projects.
Seema has extensive experience acting for clients across a range of industries including telecommunications resources financial services professional services transport and construction. She has advised clients on matters relating to M&A private equity tax structuring property transactions employee share schemes and general tax advisory.
Seema specialises in the taxeffective structuring of mergers and acquisitions both crossborder and within Australia. She has advised on the Australian structuring aspects of various private equity funds including their initial fund establishment the acquisition restructure and divestment of portfolio companies and fund remuneration arrangements.Seema has also represented clients in managing tax reviews and audits from the Australian Taxation Office.
Were looking for someone:
- with 2 years experience in corporate tax;
- with a genuine passion for and desire to develop further tax law expertise;
- who has a strong sense of purpose ambition confidence and a proactive approach to their work;
- with a desire to work with existing and new clients on business growth; and
- who is friendly has a sense of humour is down to earth/authentic and who is also hard working focused and ambitious.
