CORPORATE SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT / ANALYST (Permanent)
Our client an established international manufacturing and distribution organization in WNY is looking to hire a Corporate Senior Tax Accountant / Analyst to join their growing team. This role possesses a great work-life balance excellent room for growth and opportunities for professional development. This is a newly implemented role due to growth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day tax analyst responsibilities
- Prepare IFRS-compliant tax workpapers for both US and Canadian processes
- Review and conduct reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure everything is up to date and accurate
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to ensure strategic tax planning
- Manage budgets & forecasts alongside Finance and Treasury teams making real-time adjustments to ensure the organization stays on track and on target
- Participate in strategic planning meetings contributing to long-term initiatives providing educated insight into tax structure optimization and pre-IPO readiness
- Participate in annual audits by responding to tax inquiries from internal team members leadership team and stakeholders
- Manage cash tax planning for the company
- Remain up to date with local state and federal tax laws/regulations including Canadian to properly assess impacts to North American operations
- Ensure compliance is maintained at all times
- Work well independently as well as part of a team
- Complete special projects in a timely manner acting as a leadership presence for ad hoc tax and financial analysis projects
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days in-office Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm EST
- Some travel to Toronto may be required
- $100000-$125000 annually depending on experience; 10%-20% bonus potential (performance-based)

- Bachelor s degree in accounting finance or related
- CPA or MBA preferred not required
- 3 years corporate tax or public accounting experience
- Experience with US and/or Canadian corporate tax/IFRS reporting
- Excellent computer skills specifically Excel
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
