Job Description

Business Development Lead Francophone Africa

Location: Cape Town South Africa

Languages: Fluent English other languages will be a great plus.

What Youll Do

  • Open New Markets: Identify the most promising African countries to expand Jabus footprint. Youll be on the ground meeting regulators forging partnerships with banks stakeholders customers and setting up local teams.
  • Crunch the Numbers: Dive into financial modeling to analyze all our markets. Present your findings clearly and convincingly.
  • Build Relationships: Youre the face of Jabu pitch to enterprises negotiate with regulators and make sure were the goto platform for digitizing cash.
  • Own the Outcome: Proactively solve problems lead crossfunctional projects and drive Jabus vision of transforming Africas cash economy.

  • Financial Savyy: You can build financial models and turn them into clear actionable insights.
  • Presentation Pro: Comfortable speaking in public pitching to executives and making good slide decks.
  • Fearless Attitude: Youre not afraid to pick up the phone knock on doors and create opportunities out of thin air.
  • Global Mindset: Fluent in English youre ready to travel across Africa to make deals happen.

Key Responsibilities

Market Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities in Francophone African countries analyzing economic indicators demographics and competition.
  • Develop and execute gotomarket strategies ensuring proper hiring training and local market readiness.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks enterprises regulators and other key partners.
  • Submit & ensure regulatory compliance readiness in the markets we are opening.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements that align with Jabus objectives.

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Build and interpret financial models to inform strategic decisions assess profitability and forecast investment requirements.
  • Present findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Project Leadership

  • Oversee crossfunctional teams coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth market entry and operations.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet targets.

Travel & Representation

  • Represent Jabu at stakeholder meetings and regulatory discussions across Africa.
  • Communicate Jabus vision and value proposition effectively to diverse audiences.
