Job Description
- Provide sole charge childcare during weekdays when both parents are working.
- Safely and responsibly care for the 4yearold child including school pickups and dropoffs (school is walking distance from home)
- Engage both children in ageappropriate activities that promote learning creativity and outdoor exploration.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children encouraging healthy eating habits and table manners.
- Assist children with selffeeding and encourage independence in completing tasks.
- Support the childrens development through a Montessoristyle approach encouraging them to do tasks themselves.
- Walk a friendly family dog once a day.
- Maintain a tidy and organized household including childrens laundry keeping clothes in order and assisting with light household tasks such as dishes and tidying up.
- Help the 4 yearold with homework assignments and reading.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare particularly with toddlers and schoolaged children.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and exploring nature.
- Strong commitment to promoting independence and curiosity in children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals and promote healthy eating habits.
- Patience compassion and a nurturing demeanour.
- Safeguarding awareness and commitment to ensuring the childrens safety and wellbeing.
- First Aid Certification and a valid DBS is a must.
- Legal right to live and work in the UK.
