About the Location

Located in Heathfield in the centre of the picturesque Adelaide Hills Hillside Aged Care is nestled amongst the tall trees and natural bushland providing peace tranquillity only 15km from the City of Adelaide.

About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking experienced and dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our team on a Permanent basis to cover a range of different shifts.

Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to work across other local Allity sites and cover planned and unplanned leave.

Reporting to our Registered Nurses our Personal Care Workers are responsible for providing quality care to our residents. This includes:

  • Providing direct care support and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice.
  • Working towards establishing positive relationships with our residents and working collaboratively within a team environment with an attitude of respect integrity and teamwork.
  • Responsiveness to reporting incidents and changes in resident behaviour in a timely manner to RNs.

You will have the opportunity to develop your aged care career under the guidance and mentorship of experienced nursing professionals within the aged care industry. You will receive handson training and support from our dedicated RNs and Management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to further expand your skill set in a supportive and structured environment whilst gaining job satisfaction.

To be successful you will have

  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)
  • Complete a police check
  • Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain during flu season)
  • Evidence of Covid19 vaccination
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Sound food preparation experience (preferably in an Aged Care environment)
  • Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Highly efficient and motivated
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
  • Knowledge of kitchen processes standards systems and equipment
