General Responsibilities

Reporting directly to an Assistant Fiscal Officer III the Business Manager designs maintains and reviews the annual budget for the school district(s).

Salary:
The full salary range is $94203.20 $114628.80.Offers are made at the entry level of the range.


Assignment:
This position is fulltime yearround with remote job location optional. This position will otherwise be based at the ESD 112 Vancouver campus.

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan monitor analyze and provide fiscal projections for district revenue and expense budgets.
  2. Prepare district budget state and federal grants Request for Proposal (RFP) for services financial reports Erate calculation election resolutions and reports for the Board of Directors and Superintendent.
  3. Manage and audit all districts funds including but not limited to accounts payable receivables payroll state and personnel reporting food service reports and monthly Treasurers report.
  4. Manage internal audits and serve as a liaison between the school district and the state auditors office.
  5. Provide fiscal procedure and policy guidance to staff.
  6. Assist with district long range planning. Plan for bond and levy elections.
  7. Oversee capital projects.
  8. Provide support for contract negotiations.
  9. Provide business manager services to multiple school districts or a single school district with more than 1000 Student FTE.
Other Functions:
  1. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree.
  2. Two years of business office experience working in the areas of accounting and state financial reporting.
  3. Two years of experience working with automated accounting systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in a regional education service agency public school district or governmental agency accounting.
  2. Experience with the WSIPC fiscal system.

  2. Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
