Job Description
A leading mining company based in North West has an exciting opportunity for a Fitter with Shaft & Winders experience. The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems and equipment as well as conduct daily and weekly inspection on Winders as per MHSA and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Complete daily inspection checklists for tools equipment and work areas.
- Report problems and make recommendations to Supervisors.
- Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance diagnostics repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders. Consider direct environment risks.
- Assist Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance diagnostics repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders.
Requirements:
- Certificate: Grade 12 / N3
- Certificate: Trade Test Fitter
- Relevant WINDER and ropes training
- 3 Years post apprenticeship Fitter in heavy industrial mining environment and
- 3 years experience in WINDERS as a Fitter within mining environment
- 5 years experience working with winders in a shaft environment
