This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU). Accordingly the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a CBA) between Housing Works and the RWDSU
Compensation Range $25.00/hr $31.25/hr commensurate with experience
Overview:
The Outreach Coordinator structures manages and supports the work done by the outreach workers and the assigned peer workers across harm reduction programs. This staff will ensure that the data and services provided are documented in a timely basis staff are properly trained on service interventions updates protocols as needed and makes sure participants are provided services as outlined in the scope of service for each program. This staff will assess and implement quality improvement processes to the work done by outreach staff. Structures required training for staff on an ongoing basis or as needed to build proficiency and professionalism. Builds a team with cohesive service goals and professional delivery of services.
The Outreach Coordinator makes sure that PDSE targeted case findings community level interventions and program promotion activities and conducted consistently and appropriately. This position will submit data as required by NY City and State funders including and not limited to AIRS EiCare EShare and Red Cap. The Outreach Coordinator will conduct services five days a week. Outreach services will include program promotion activities referrals prevention training provide education for safe injection practices and highrisk prevention services. Builds relationships and locates resources as well as promote steps to independence health and wellbeing of service users. Duties also include recruiting clients administering questionnaires policies and procedures updates data gathering assisting with event organizing and performing various administrative tasks including periodic reporting.
