Description
Responsibilities
Raw Material Costing and Procurement Support
Monitor raw material costs and assist in procurement analysis
Liaise with procurement to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
Production Costing and BOM Management
Analyze and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
Track and report on production variances and manufacturing efficiency
Ensure correct allocation of labor and overhead costs
Sales Costing and Profitability Analysis
Develop and maintain standard costing for products
Assist in pricing strategies based on cost analysis
Evaluate profitability per product line or customer
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare detailed cost reports for management
Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards and company policies
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Cost Management or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a cost accounting role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and BOMs
Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage Syspro or equivalent)
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills
Steel industry experience will be a strong advantage
