Assistant Womens Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $6288.00/month
Commensurate with education experience and qualifications. Coaching positions are not tenure track and do not guarantee future employment rights. This is a fulltime exempt 12month appointment.
NOTE: Multiple Assistant Coach positions may be filled via this vacancy announcement.
Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions depending upon University needs and operations may be eligible for remote work one day per week pursuant to Fresno States remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical dental and vision plans membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) sick and vacation time and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary
Assist the Head Womens Basketball Coach with coaching and developing a nationally competitive Division I Basketball team. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: coaching studentathletes recruiting game management scouting academic monitoring practice organization summer camps compliance travel In addition to other administrative duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Ability to lead and guide studentathletes select and use appropriate training methods; foster an environment to promote studentathlete wellbeing academic success and personal development.
- Have strong communication and motivation skills.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and policies.
- Coaching philosophy and teaching concepts must be compatible with those of the Head Coach.
- Ability to work cooperatively with coaches staff faculty students and members of the community.
- Commitment to academic integrity and compliance with University conference and NCAA regulations.
- Direct and manage a sports program manage and administer a budget analyze personnel needs; establish and attain program priorities and initiatives; develop and implement program goals; and develop recruitment strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.

Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education or by an equivalent international institution of higher education.
- Played collegiate basketball or minimum of five 5 years of experience coaching or managing at the collegiate level.
