As an Analyst/Associate within the Economics Fixed Income and FX Strategy team you will play a pivotal role in developing models and analytical frameworks to interpret key facets of financial markets and the economy. You will be an integral part of a vibrant environment where your inputs will have a substantial impact on results and promote your career growth. Your responsibilities will include establishing strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders promoting a culture of innovation and excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your skills in economic analysis econometric modeling and market understanding all within the context of a leading financial services firm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively meet the needs of clients and internal stakeholders
- Develop models for forecasting and analytics
- Process data and engage in programming tasks
- Write research notes indepth reports and presentations
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Economics Finance or a STEM discipline ideally with honours
- Experience in an investment banking and/or markets research environment viewed favourably
- Outstanding communication skills for producing highquality reports and presentations
- Familiarity with econometric and/or machine learning models
- Proficiency in data science skills including programming in R Python and other languages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Experience in developing analytical frameworks for financial markets viewed favourably
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
