Job Description

Job Title: Lead Data Migration Specialist

Job Summary:

Experienced Data Migration specialist having worked with the Microsoft BI products ETL projects and Dynamics AX 2012/ D365FO. Deep knowledge of SSAS/SSRS/SSIS and Power BI including MS SQL.

This work will be done in close cooperation with the Team Leader in Chennai as well as with BI developers architects internal customers and other developers within our IT organization.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Strong experience with data migration and ETL process. Proven participation in ETL projects preferably in industry.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft SQL server database and services (SSAS/SSRS/SSIS) including MS SQL Server administration.
  • Strong experience in SSIS development.
  • Strong experience in SQL language generally.
  • Experience with another DBMS and system to store large data is an advantage
  • Experienced in Power BI reports development.
  • Strong experience with MS applications like Excel Access including VBA coding and macros.
  • Experienced in Data Migration from legacy system to Dynamics AX 2012/D365FO.
  • Experienced in AX 2012 R2 D365FO is an advantage.
  • Experience in deployment and migration using AX tools and technique.
  • Ability to map and configure business requirements.
  • Engage in discussions with functional consultants.
  • Holding relevant certifications is added advantage.
  • General overview of business process in manufacturing and service companies is an advantage.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience.
  • 10 14 years of total work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT specific experience as a Business Intelligence Developer.
  • At least 2 years of IT specific experience related to data migration and equivalent experience acquired by serving as a key business SME on IT initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of knowledge and experience working on enterprise applications.

Language skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals specifications international technical standards etc.

Computer skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems such as Windows etc.

  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel may be required. Therefore employees must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working onsite.
