Job Title: Engineer II
Salary: $7546.71 $9825.69 depending on experience
Job Bonus up to $6000

Klamath County is seeking a talented Engineer II to join our Public Works team. In this handson role you will have the opportunity to design and oversee construction projects that build the foundation for our growing community.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in designing engineering plans and specifications for road construction and maintenance projects
Administer county road contracts overseeing construction to ensure compliance with standards
Coordinate survey crews and collect field data for project design and implementation
Inspect construction work to enforce adherence to plans and specifications
Perform bridge inspections and identify necessary repairs
Operate surveying equipment like theodolites and electronic distance meters
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering technology Civil Engineering or related field and 710 years of experience in the Design Engineering field with a focus on civil projects including roads and bridges
Experience in engineering technology and knowledge of civil engineering principles
Proficiency in AutoCAD Excel database software and engineering tools
Strong analytical problemsolving and project management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Either a current Oregon Professional Engineer License OR current engineer license in another state with the ability to apply for reciprocity in Oregon within a year of employment
