Position Summary

The Food Runner is responsible for transporting food and beverage items and other supplies form one location to another within the venue. The Food Runner must be able to work in an everchanging fastpaced environment.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Position Details:

  • Shifts include nights weekends and holidays

This role will pay an hourly wage of $11 to $13.

Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

About the Venue

The Macon Centreplex is comprised of the Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium. The Macon Coliseum is home to tenant hockey team the Macon Mayhem and sits 9000 patrons. Family shows concerts trade shows GHSA among others are frequent entertainment in the venue. The Macon City Auditorium first opened in 1925 and has hosted iconic greats like Otis Redding The Allman Brothers and Little Richard. The venue hosts concerts weddings private galas comedy shows among other events in its 2500 seat space. The 10000 capacity Amphitheater opened in Spring of 2024 with concerts comedy shows graduations and community events.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with setup of food service areas in assigned area.
  • Transport food items and supplies from once location to another.
  • Read event orders ensure accuracy of items being delivered to food service areas.
  • Organizes and prepares for events in assigned locations.
  • Interacts with guests in a courteous friendly manner.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures upholding safety and sanitation standards and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Adhere to state federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of food and beverage menu.
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
  • Maintain stock of all supplies within assigned areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must possess or be willing to obtain valid food handling certificate.
