As a Family Connect and Support (FCS) Worker youll play a vital role in connecting families with the support they need before situations escalate into crisis. You will work alongside a collaborative network of service providers across the Batemans Bay Bega Queanbeyan and Goulburn regions offering vital intake and referral services. Your work will ensure that families receive timely and effective support empowering them to resolve challenges and thrive. With a focus on early intervention and prevention this role allows you to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic and everchanging environment. Whether through inperson support or outreach every day brings new opportunities to make a positive and lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.
This is an ongoing Parttime opportunity 2 days a week 0.4 FTE) based in Bega within our Out of Home Care (OOHC) Program. The position reports to the Family Connect and Support Team Leader

You are a compassionate and dedicated professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children young people and families. You have a strong understanding of child wellbeing and the importance of early intervention and you are driven by the desire to help families access the support they need to overcome challenges. With excellent communication skills you can build trust with families and work collaboratively with a diverse range of service providers.
You thrive in dynamic fastpaced environments and can manage a caseload with sensitivity and professionalism. You are proactive and resourceful always looking for creative solutions to meet the unique needs of each family. Your ability to adapt and work in outreach settings is key to your success and you are passionate about fostering positive nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive. Most importantly you are committed to empowering families and making a lasting impact on their lives.
