Job Description
GFL Environmental is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Brampton ON location!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the excavator in a safe and efficient manor
- Complete excavator inspection each shift report all defects immediately to management.
- Wash excavator at the end of the shift.
- Clean ramp to pit rooms regularly
- Clean up pit room
- Garden/power washer hoses are to be coiled up at the end of the shift.
- Rinse totes and drums as required.
- Crush drums as required
- Supervise dumping of all truck when in the pit and take appropriate sample
- Off load trucks if require vac truck fluff trucks or containerized waste.
- Any leaking roll off are to be cleaned immediately.
- Assist with operation as require by supervisor
- Operate loader skid steer and forklift
- Housekeeping in or outside of facility.
- Assist in a spill
- Back up truck as required
- Communicate if there is any special processing at the beginning of the shift.
- Any other duties as assign by management.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- G Class Drivers License
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Confident consistent decisive personality.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Manual dexterity ability to lift 75 lbs required.
