Job Description Summary

Join our Monitoring Solutions team as a Staff Software Engineer Testing and lead the verification strategy and for our cuttingedge Digital Health Software platform for Monitoring Solutions. This platform delivers clinical intelligence at the point of need for caregivers and is part of an innovative first of its kind hospitalwide solution that is mobile cableless and cloudenabled.
The individual will have a strong test automation background. The test lead will strategize plan and coordinate verification and automation activities. Responsibilities include designing developing automating executing and maintaining test cases ensuring quality through reviews and writing tests alongside the team. The Test Lead will represent the team and report progress to management.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Develop the verification strategy for an onpremises Kubernetesbased subsystem including serverclass hardware and a Java microservices software stack.
  • Strategize and execute endtoend platform subsystem testing.
  • Create verification plans and reports for the entire subsystem.
  • Collaborate with software developers to implement test automation across the software stack.
  • Write functional and automated tests as well as test harnesses for applications and services under test.
  • Evangelize strategize introduce and implement testing frameworks to ensure firstclass DevOps practices.
  • Partner with team members to diagnose bugs/defects and develop solutions.
  • Review verification results for compliance with the quality management system.
  • Adhere to the GE Healthcare Quality Manual Quality Management System Quality Management Policy Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Understand and elicit requirements by working with Lead System designers.
  • Planning tracking and reporting test cycles. Communicate effectively in a crossfunctional multicultural global environment.

Education Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or in STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in verification and test automation.
  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging testing and debugging complex design problems.

Desired Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with Quality Management Systems
  • Quality Management Policy Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong experience in test automation development using Core Java and Selenium
  • Strong experience in Behaviour Driven Development and TestDriven Development frameworks (preferably with cucumber & JBehave)
  • Strong experience in software testing methodologies including manual and automated testing
  • Continuous Integration Continuous Development experience with Jenkins GIT or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu Linux and Windows OS knowledge
  • Knowledge on network protocols
  • Knowledge of bugs/defects life cycle.
  • Knowledge of HP ALM or equivalent product life cycle management tools
  • Knowledge of tools like Rally
  • Familiarity with quality system requirements for medical device Design Controls/ Regulatory requirements
  • Good to have experience in containerization platforms like Docker & Kubernetes
