The Role
As a Personal CareAssistant youll be part of our clients dedicated support team providingessential care in their home. Youll be employed by HomeCareDirect but willfocus solely on supporting this client.
This post is for 28 hours perweek arranged in advance on a flexible twoweek rota. You should be availableto work on any day of the week with day and evening shifts only.
About the Client & YourResponsibilities
Our client is a young woman inher 20s with Muscular Dystrophy. She lives at home with her family and has apassion for writing poetry and fanfiction. She also enjoys watching films andlistening to music and audiobooks.
Youll play a key role insupporting her daily needs while ensuring her independence and privacy arerespected.
Requirements
Training & Support
We provide comprehensivepaid training (to CQC standards) before your start date covering:
Full induction
Safeguarding Adults
First Aid / Food Hygiene /Health & Safety
Physiotherapy / Moving &Handling (with hoist)
Ventilation / Cough Assist /Oral Suction / Nebuliser
Epilepsy Awareness /Congenital Muscular Dystrophy
Personal Care /Administration of Suppositories
Gastrostomy Care / PEGMedication Administration
All training must be completedprior to start date and is paid at minimum wage.
Who Were Looking For
Thisposition is femaleonly in accordance with The Equality Act 2010Schedule 9 Part 1
Previouscare experience is desirable but not essential as full training and shadowingwill be provided
Acompassionate reliable and committed individual
