Your mission
GotPhoto is looking for a Data Platform Lead to join our Platform team in Berlin and take ownership of our data infrastructure.
In this role you will lead the design implementation and evolution of our data platform ensuring it is scalable reliable and efficient. Youll drive best practices in data engineering enabling highquality wellstructured data pipelines that support analytics reporting and operational needs.
As a handson leader you will develop robust data solutions optimize workflows and mentor a small but skilled team fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. This is an opportunity to shape the future of data at GotPhoto and have a direct impact on how data drives business success.
You are reporting to our Head of Data Kinda.
Responsibilities
Design & Build Scalable Data Infrastructure Architect and implement a modern maintainable data platform ensuring smooth data flow across the organization.
Develop & Optimize Data Pipelines Build and improve ETL/ELT processes using tools like dbt Airbyte and Airflow ensuring efficiency robustness and automation.
Ensure Data Quality & Governance Define and enforce data contracts governance frameworks and observability practices ensuring accuracy consistency and reliability across all pipelines.
Leverage Cloud & DevOps Technologies Deploy and manage cloudbased data solutions on AWS orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes and implement infrastructureascode with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
Lead & Mentor a HighPerforming Team Guide and support a team of 2 data engineers fostering a culture of collaboration learning and technical excellence.
We are looking for
Data Engineering Expert You have at least 5 years of experience with SQL Python ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
Cloud & Automation Proficiency You have handson experience with AWS Terraform and modern data pipeline tools.
Scalable Architecture Mindset You have a strong understanding of eventdriven data architectures and infrastructureascode.
Strong Communicator & Collaborator You are able to engage with stakeholders explain complex topics clearly and create alignment across teams.
Supportive Leader & Mentor You are passionate about fostering an inclusive empowering and growthoriented team culture.
