About the Team

The Solutions Engineering team at HashiCorp is pivotal in our technical advocacy and customer engagement. Tasked with understanding and addressing customer challenges our team leverages HashiCorps robust product suite to devise strategic solutions that drive customer success. As trusted advisors we ensure that our customers in India fully capitalize on their investments navigating the unique landscape of cloud computing cybersecurity and digital transformation.

What Youll Do

As the Director of Solutions Engineering you will lead a team of Solutions Engineers through the comprehensive sales cycle in the dynamic and rapidly evolving Indian market. Collaborating closely with Sales leadership your strategic and operational input will be crucial in driving business growth and adapting our global strategies to meet local demands. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Development: Manage mentor and develop a team of Solutions Engineers promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Strategic Technical Direction: Establish and execute a technical strategy that aligns with the specific challenges of cloud adoption and security faced by Indian enterprises.
  • Customer Lifecycle Management: Act as an executive sponsor to ensure strategic engagements during crucial stages of the customer lifecycle facilitating successful deployments and substantial value realization.
  • DataDriven Optimization: Utilize analytics to refine business operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Influence: Play a pivotal role in decisionmaking and initiate projects that address regional needs and utilize local market insights.
  • Communication of Regional Insights: Relay critical customer feedback and regional trends to corporate leadership to inform strategic decisions.

What Youll Need

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role within Technical PreSales or Sales Engineering ideally with significant exposure to the Indian market.
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage a dynamic and geographically diverse team focusing on performance and professional development. Experience in standing up hub teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) is essential showcasing your ability to build and scale effective technical operations within the region.
  • Innovation and Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment strategically leading projects that cater to the unique market dynamics of India.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of DevOps practices multicloud environments and cybersecurity particularly relevant to the Indian regulatory and business environments. Your knowledge should encompass how to architect and deploy scalable and secure applications across multiple cloud platforms facilitating seamless integration and operational efficiency.
  • Open Source and Commercial Acumen: Indepth knowledge of the opensource environment in India coupled with proven strategies to transition customers from opensource to enterprisetier solutions maximizing both customer value and business revenue.
  • Operational Rigor: Exceptional capability in implementing operational rigor and driving datadriven decisionmaking processes. You should have a strong track record of using analytics to assess the effectiveness and ROI of presales efforts ensuring optimal deployment of resources and alignment with business goals.
  • Superior Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts effectively across various audiences.
  • Interpersonal and Mentoring Skills: Skilled at building strong professional relationships and committed to the professional development of team members.
  • Decisive and Independent: Capable of making informed and autonomous strategic decisions.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively within the region and occasionally internationally.

Whats nice to have (preferred qualifications)

Experience:Previous secondline leadership experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of HashiCorp Tools:Knowledge of and experience with any of the tools in the HashiCorp portfolio.

Education:Advanced technical/engineering degree; an MBA is helpful.
