Job Description
Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a position as anadjunctInstructor in the Intensive English Program. Teaching responsibilities includeninehours per weekof instruction with additional duties of preparing teaching materials.Instructors must also confer with and help students outside class as needed and appropriateand have two office hours per week. Theymust maintain and report accurate attendance records and grades. They may also be asked to contribute to projects and committees related to program development.
Applicants must have a masters degreeor masters degreeinprogress inTESL Englishor related fieldwith preferredexperience teaching in an intensive English program in a U.S. institution of higher education.Candidates with certificates in ESOL may also be considered.They must havenative or nearnative fluency in Englishand preferredcompetency in a foreign language and/or experience living or traveling abroad.
