Are you a passionate Chemistry graduate eager to support and inspire students in their academic journey We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Academic Mentor to join a forwardthinking school in Tottenham Haringey. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with motivated students and help them achieve academic success in their Alevel studies.
Chemistry Academic Mentor Role Overview:
As a Chemistry Academic Mentor you will play a vital role in supporting students during their Alevel studies. You will assist them in developing key subject knowledge critical thinking skills and exam techniques. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual and group academic support to students studying Chemistry at Alevel.
- Leading tailored revision sessions and academic workshops to boost student engagement and understanding.
- Working closely with teaching staff to track progress and identify areas for development.
- Helping students to develop essential study and revision skills to enhance their learning experience.
- Offering oneonone mentoring for students requiring additional academic support in Chemistry.
Chemistry Academic Mentor Key Requirements:
- On track for a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in Chemistry from a top 25 UK University.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- A passion for education and aspirations towards a future career in teaching.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring is advantageous but not essential.
