Job Description

Remuneration: Market Related dependent on skill set knowledge and experience

Purpose Of The Job:

Entering the South African market a new and dynamic brand from one of South Africas leading selling passenger vehicles! Our client requires a Dealer Development Manager at OEM level. The candidate will be a key member of the new Dealer Development team in ensuring that key outputs are delivered effectively and efficiently. To be successful in this role you will be searching for investors opening new dealers and maintaining current relationships with Dealers. The candidate will also be responsible for dealer CI. Ultimately the candidate will ensure that their area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to the companys success in the long run.


Duties:
Collaborating with sales team in planning the sales network to ensure the optimum geographic distribution of the Companys products
  • Quality of research plan and network strategy devised
  • Strategic vacant points filled
  • Adequacy of dealer succession plans
Sourcing and onboarding of new investors
  • Ensuring that the Brand is represented in an attractive manner to potential investors
  • Assessing suitability of investor financially reputably and sustainability
  • Ensuring approval process is adhered to
Project management
  • Sourcing of suppliers
  • Managing supplier timelines projects and quality of work
Collaboration with relevant departments
  • Ensuring all relevant departments are kept up to date on progress of new dealer development
Ensure the dealer network can support the Companys products to achieve sales & profit objectives with Vehicle Sales Parts & Service
  • Support network (Spoke) strategy
  • Business analysis regular monthly inputs from network
  • Analysing results received
  • Regular focus group forums
  • Ensuring necessary Dealer training contributes to dealer effectiveness
Maintain dealer agreement that defines key responsibilities of the Company and the dealer including monitoring the effectiveness and compliance to the dealer agreement
  • Currency of Dealer Agreement
  • Compliance to Dealer Agreement
Manage the Corporate Identification of Dealers to comply with Brand standards
  • Suitability of identification at Dealer premises
Dealer visits
  • Regular visits to all dealers
Reporting to Management
  • Daily weekly Monthly reporting to all senior management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years Current experience in same or similar role at OEM level is essential as a dealer development manager
  • Gr 12 / Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in economics or business
  • Drivers licence (code 08 required
  • Automotive experience is ESSENTIAL!!!
