Job Description
The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth Atchison and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide highquality care to all individuals regardless of their financial circumstances. Joining the team at TGC offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on the most vulnerable members of our community. At our center we offer a unique combination of counseling case management psychosocial and medication services all under one roof. We are deeply committed to our clients and are dedicated to implementing a comprehensive model of care.
- Assist in leading youth psychosocial groups
- Support the main group leader in facilitating group sessions
- Serve as Transportation Attendant on transportation routes to/from groups
- Help create a safe and supportive environment for group participants
- High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work in the field of human services or have one year of experience in the field of human services or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services
- At least 6 months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.
- Preferred: experience working with individuals with mental health needs
- Ability to work at least two evenings per week after 5 pm
- Competitive compensation ranging from $19.69 to $22.10 per hour
