partner staffing onbehalf of our Client we are seeking a highly experienced and innovativeSenior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and implementation forcommercial industrial institutional residential building projects across Alberta. This role requires a proven trackrecord in electrical systems design project management and clientcollaboration. You will mentor junior engineers ensure compliance with AlbertaBuilding Codes and deliver sustainable energyefficient solutions formixeduse and commercial properties.
Requirements
KeyResponsibilities:
- Leadand oversee the electrical design process for commercial building projectsincluding lighting systems power distribution fire alarms and communication systems.
- Collaboratewith architects mechanical engineers and construction teams to ensureseamless integration of electrical systems.
- Reviewand approve single line diagrams (SDLs) panel schedules load calculations.
- Developand manage construction documentation including detailed electrical layoutsspecifications and material selection.
- Ensureall designs comply with Alberta Building Code CSA standards and otherapplicable regulatory requirements.
- Manageproject timelines budgets and resource allocation maintaining highqualitystandards throughout.
- Conductsite visits to monitor progress identify issues and provide solutions duringconstruction and commissioning phases.
- Mentorand guide junior engineers and EITs fostering their professional growth andtechnical skills.
- Promoteinnovation by integrating energyefficient technologies and renewable energysystems into projects.
- Buildand maintain strong relationships with clients addressing their needs andensuring satisfaction.
Qualificationsand Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility for registration.
- 8 years in electrical engineering with a focus on commercialbuilding projects.
- Proficiencyin AutoCAD Revit and electrical modeling software.
- Indepthknowledge of BC Building Codes CSA standards and energy codes.
- Familiaritywith green building certifications (LEED WELL etc. is an asset.
- Strong project management capabilities and excellent communication andtechnical writing skills.
