6 Month Contract with a local Authority
Job Purpose
- To promote and sell waste management and recycling services to existing and prospective customers in accordance with Council procedure. The individual must be a self starter able to work on their own and as part of a Team. They must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car in order to travel across the borough of Thurrock.
Key duties/Accountabilities
- Proactively identify and engage with potential customers to promote commercial waste and recycling services.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure continued service uptake and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to tailor waste solutions to customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity customer interactions and service agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and resolve customer issues.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall performance of the waste services team.
- Stay informed about industry trends regulations and competitors to inform sales strategy.
Essential Experience Required.
- Proven experience in sales preferably in a field-based or B2B environment.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant qualification in field of work.

- This role is 37 working hours per week.
