POSITION SUMMARY:

The New York Film Academy LA Teen Summer Camp is seeking an organized energetic and dependable Assistant Residential Director for a livein fulltime seasonal role. Youll help oversee teen campers (ages 1417 during their immersive experience in the visual and performing arts. This role involves supervising Residential Advisors (RAs) leading evening/weekend outings coordinating logistics and ensuring a safe supportive and fun environment for our creative and enthusiastic campers.

Effective Dates: PartTime 6/16/2025 FullTime Seasonal 6/23/2025 8/13/2025

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The daytoday duties required of this position may vary.

Assist the Director in facilitating the full hiring process for Residential Advisors (RAs)

Support the development and delivery of RA onboarding including training orientation and uniform distribution

Help implement and enforce safety protocols and social guidelines for campers and staff

Assist in planning and supervising evening & weekend activities that foster community and creativity

Monitor the enforcement of housing rules and social expectations

Mediate student interpersonal issues as needed

Communicate camper behavior or wellbeing concerns to the Residential Director

Coordinate camper transportation logistics with the Equipment and TA Manager

Maintain effective communication with the Director and Equipment Manager

Support daytoday logistics including airport pickups campus shuttles and graduation events

Help set up classrooms & program spaces before camp and assist with breakdown after the program

Lead students to classes and activities by subway and walking

Prepare dorm spaces by decorating stocking supplies and assisting with checkins/checkouts

Conduct weekly student checkins and checkouts

Enforce curfew perform nightly room checks and conduct regular safety rounds

Participate in an oncall duty rotation to respond to student needs

Spend time on campus during class hours to support students with nonacademic needs

Attend daily team meetings and assist with administrative duties as assigned

Take on additional tasks and shifts as requested by the Supervisor

Maintain 24/7 oncall availability throughout the program including weekends to ensure camper safety and support residential operation

Qualifications

Effective at managing multiple priorities in fastpaced resultsdriven environments.

Experienced in planning and coordinating safe engaging events and activities.

Highly organized and adaptable with strong timemanagement skills.

Calm and responsive in emergencies always prioritizing camper safety.

Clear and professional communicator; collaborates well with students staff faculty and vendors.

Adaptable and solutionsoriented in response to lastminute changes.

Valid drivers license preferred.

EXPERIENCE EDUCATION CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in a related field or in progress or equivalent work experience required.

Prior experience working with kids or teens strongly preferred

COMMITMENT:

Must be available fulltime from June 23 August 9 2025

Livein hotel housing provided

One WEEKDAY off per week; weekends required

No vacation or leave during program dates; schedule conflicts must be disclosed in advance
