OVERALL PURPOSE

Lula is seeking a highly motivated Business Relationship Banker (BRB) to join our newly formed and dynamic Business Relationship Banking team. In this role the BRB is responsible for strategically and operationally managing a portfolio of highvalue Premium Banking and Funding clients. This role entails acquiring new clients and building strong and value adding relationships with our key clients in order to provide excellent service and recommendations on Lula products that will enable their businesses to succeed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Grow a portfolio of highvalue Premium Banking and Funding clients ensuring consistent revenue growth and client retention.
  • Prospect and acquire new clients ensuring they are onboarded in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for premium business banking or funding clients building and maintaining longterm value adding relationships.
  • Utilise your understanding of market trends and client behaviour to provide tailored strategic recommendations and financial solutions that effectively meet client current and future needs.
  • Collaborate with the relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth underwriting and onboarding process for clients that exceed their expectations.
  • Regularly service accounts and promote Lulas product offerings ensuring client satisfaction is your top priority.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of clients business needs and financial objectives to identify opportunities for crossselling upselling and promoting Lula products to clients.
  • Consistently achieve high client satisfaction scores as per agreed threshold by ensuring that clients are appropriately serviced in line with our value proposition.
  • Work seamlessly with the sales support team in ensuring that they are enabled to support you in your portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards regulations and legislative requirements.

  • Customer Service & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on client needs and clear professional communication.
  • Integrity & Compliance: Commitment to upholding high ethical standards complying with industry regulations and ensuring all processes adhere to bank policies and legal requirements.

THE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WERE LOOKING FOR

  • Grade 12 achieved
  • Relevant qualification in business finance or related field is desirable
  • 3 years of experience in a customer experience role with a proven track record managing highvalue accounts.
  • Previous experience in business banking or financial services preferred
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Zendesk preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage an omnichannel environment
  • Good sales skills with strong negotiation abilities enabling the drive of performance while securing favorable outcomes for both clients and Lula
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the banking sector
  • Resilient adaptable and able to thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Advanced analytical skills (Excel proficiency a must)
  • Handson team player with a focus on driving outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
