Job Description

This Wearables Product Category Director category will be a customercentric and productloving business leader who will take Boses wearable category to new heights. This leader will be focused on the industry and opportunities in the market and will work closely with designers engineering marketing supply chain and sales to drive growth and contribution margin from inception of new ideas through endoflife products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the champion for the customer: develop a compelling wearable category strategy that delivers marketleading customer value;
  • Drive Category P&L success (category revenue and contribution margin) developing and leading the of plans that lead to agreedupon growth and contribution metrics.
  • Ensure the plans and enable a compelling customer experience in line with the brand standards.
  • Ensure the of the plans meet portfolio strategic and financial goals.
  • Manage overall portfolio product lifecycles and pricing strategies for category
  • Leverage customer insights usability studies market trends and competitive analysis to develop the vision product roadmap & product definitions
  • Collaborate with design engineering marketing supply chain and sales to identify creative solutions to difficult challenges and to reach the optimal balance between the vision of the user experience with time to market and product cost

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Product and Operational Management
  • At least 10 years of product management experience ideally with experience in the software domain business management or other related experience at scale including a successful track record of leading teams through product launches from idea to prototype to revenue.
  • Team and Cross Functional Leadership
  • Proven leader motivator and mentor. Entrepreneurial and unafraid to roll up sleeves.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a large organization and carving a unified path through collaboration in a matrixed environment.

  • Invites listens to and usesthe opinions and perspectives of product managers and other internal stakeholders particularly design engineering marketing supply chain and sales teams.

  • Adapts own approach to the audience anticipating impact of words and actions preparing for possible resistance and responding in an appropriate style using a range of influencing styles.

  • Checks with both sides of a discussion to ensure a common understanding.
  • Takes initiative to maintain both internal and external contacts.

  • Acts to surpass goals seizing opportunities to push the envelope.
  • Sets continually higher goals that are ambitious but realistic for self and product team geared to organizational objectives.
