This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work;
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems;
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs;
• Lubricate or apply other materials to machines machine parts or other equipment according to specified procedures;
• Install replace or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications;
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance;
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; criminal background checks and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements/ Environmental/ Working Conditions:

• Must be able to acquire and maintain a lift truck license within 60 days of hire/promotion.
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to safely work in a moderately conditioned industrial process manufacturing environment
• Must be able to frequently climb 1040 steps and occasionally climb 510 ladder rungs.
• Able to work in differing temperatures
• Nontraditional work schedules will be based on location needs or specific situations.
• Nontraditional work schedules will almost always be planned and coordinated in advance.
